KCB Group is offering an internship within its Credit & Risk Management department at its Upper Hill offices, for students interested in credit analysis and banking risk. The intern will support the compilation of credit-appraisal documentation, assist analysts with basic ratio analysis on loan applications under supervision, and help organise records used in periodic portfolio-quality reviews. Other duties include supporting data entry into the bank's risk-monitoring systems, assisting with preparation of basic risk-exposure summaries, and observing credit-committee proceedings where permitted. This attachment offers valuable, practical exposure to how one of East Africa's largest banking groups assesses, prices and monitors credit risk across its retail, SME and corporate lending books. It is well suited to students pursuing finance, economics, banking or accounting who wish to build a career in credit or risk management. Interns will work under the mentorship of experienced credit analysts, receive orientation on the bank's credit policy framework, and are required to observe strict confidentiality given the sensitive nature of client financial information handled during the attachment. On successful completion, interns receive a formal attachment certificate recognising the specific credit-analysis competencies and risk-assessment skills gained during the placement period at KCB Group.
