Equity Bank Kenya is a licensed commercial bank offering banking, credit, savings and digital financial services to individuals, SMEs and corporates across Kenya. The Finance & Accounts Assistant attachment sits within the Finance & Accounts Department, where the attachee will support reconciliations and record-keeping, assist with processing of payments and expense claims, and help prepare basic financial reports, working alongside experienced staff and gaining hands-on, supervised exposure to how the organization runs on a day-to-day basis. Additional details: Equity Bank Kenya views the Finance & Accounts Assistant position as an opportunity for a student attachee to gain structured, real-world exposure within the Finance & Accounts Department. Over the course of the placement, the attachee will be guided by experienced staff and will support reconciliations and record-keeping, assist with processing of payments and expense claims, and help prepare basic financial reports. The organization expects the attachee to observe workplace professionalism, punctuality, confidentiality and a willingness to learn, and in turn commits to providing supervision, an orientation to relevant systems and procedures, and constructive feedback throughout the attachment period. Attachees who perform well may be considered for short-term casual assignments, be given a strong reference letter for future employment, and, in select cases, be considered ahead of external applicants should a suitable entry-level vacancy arise within the department after the attachment period. Equity Bank Kenya treats every attachment as a genuine two-way relationship — the student contributes real support to the team, while the organization invests in developing the student's practical, workplace-ready skills for their chosen career path.
