COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ATTACHÉ (RECRUITS ATTACHMENT & INTERNSHIP)
NGO · Karen, Nairobi
Closes 1 Nov 2026 Internship 4 positions
World Vision Kenya is offering an attachment opportunity within its Community Development Programmes department at its Karen offices, for students interested in grassroots development work. The attaché will support the compilation of project-monitoring data from community programmes, assist with organising materials for donor and sponsorship reporting, and help coordinate logistics for community outreach and training events. Other duties include supporting basic data entry into programme-management systems, assisting with photo and story documentation of project impact, and observing partnership meetings with local community-based organisations. This placement is ideal for students pursuing community development, social work, project management, agriculture or public health who wish to gain practical understanding of how an international NGO designs and delivers integrated community programmes, including child sponsorship, WASH, livelihoods and food security initiatives. Attachés will work under the mentorship of experienced programme officers, receive orientation on World Vision's child-safeguarding and code-of-conduct policies, and are expected to uphold strict confidentiality regarding beneficiary and donor information at all times. On successful completion, attachés receive a formal attachment certificate outlining the specific programme areas and skills gained during the placement period.
