Hospitality · Nairobi CBD
Closes 1 Nov 2026 Full-time 4 positions
Java House Africa is offering an internship placement for students passionate about the hospitality and food & beverage retail industry within its Nairobi CBD outlets. The intern will rotate through front-of-house customer service, order taking, basic barista support and back-of-house coordination with the kitchen team, gaining a well-rounded view of restaurant operations. Duties include supporting daily stock checks, assisting supervisors with customer feedback logging, helping maintain hygiene and food-safety standards, and observing point-of-sale and cash-handling procedures. This attachment is ideal for students pursuing hospitality management, food science, business administration or catering who want practical experience in a leading regional casual-dining brand. Interns will work under close guidance of branch supervisors, take part in basic customer-service and food-safety training, and be assessed on punctuality, teamwork and guest-service attitude throughout the placement. Java House places strong emphasis on cleanliness, professionalism and consistent quality, and interns are expected to uphold these standards at all times. On completion of the programme, interns receive a formal attachment certificate confirming the duration and areas of exposure gained, which can support future employment applications in the hospitality sector.
