Other duties include supporting research for news and entertainment segments, assisting with logistics coordination for field shoots, and observing editorial and production-planning meetings where appropriate. This attachment offers valuable, practical exposure to how a leading vernacular and national broadcaster produces news, entertainment and current-affairs television content reaching millions of viewers daily. It is well suited to students pursuing film and television production, mass communication, journalism or media studies who wish to gain hands-on studio and field-production experience. Interns will work under the mentorship of experienced producers, directors and technical crew, receive orientation on studio-safety and equipment-handling procedures, and are required to observe the company's editorial and confidentiality standards throughout the placement. On successful completion, interns receive a formal attachment certificate recognising the television-production competencies gained during the programme at Royal Media Services.
