BROADCAST PRODUCTION INTERN (RECRUITS ATTACHMENT & INTERNSHIP)
media Group · Nairobi CBD
Closes 1 Nov 2026 Full-time 4 positions
Standard Group PLC is offering an internship within its Broadcast Production department at its Nairobi CBD studios, for students interested in television and radio production. The intern will support pre-production tasks such as script formatting and shoot scheduling under supervision, assist production crews with basic studio-set preparation, and help organise footage and audio files during post-production. Other duties include supporting research for news and feature segments, assisting with basic equipment logistics for outside broadcasts, and observing editorial and production-planning meetings where appropriate. This attachment offers valuable, practical exposure to how a leading Kenyan media house produces television, radio and digital content across news, entertainment and current-affairs programming. It is well suited to students pursuing film, television production, mass communication or media studies who wish to build hands-on production-floor experience. Interns will work under the mentorship of experienced producers and technical crew, receive orientation on studio-safety and equipment-handling procedures, and are required to observe the group's editorial and confidentiality standards throughout the placement. On successful completion, interns receive a formal attachment certificate recognising the broadcast production competencies gained during the programme at Standard Group PLC.
