Diamond Trust Bank is offering an internship within its Finance & Treasury department at its Nairobi CBD offices, for students interested in bank financial management and treasury operations. The intern will support the compilation of daily liquidity and cash-position reports, assist with basic reconciliation of treasury accounts under supervision, and help organise documentation used in financial reporting to management. Additional duties include supporting data entry for regulatory financial returns, assisting with preparation of variance-analysis summaries, and observing treasury dealing-room operations where appropriate. This attachment offers valuable exposure to how a regional bank manages its balance sheet, liquidity and foreign-exchange positions in line with prudential regulatory requirements. It is well suited to students pursuing finance, accounting, economics or banking who wish to build a career in bank treasury or financial management. Interns will work under the mentorship of experienced treasury and finance officers, receive orientation on the bank's financial-reporting standards and confidentiality requirements, and are required to observe strict discretion given the sensitive nature of financial-position information handled. On successful completion, interns receive a formal attachment certificate recognising the treasury and finance competencies gained during the placement at Diamond Trust Bank.
