CORPORATE STRATEGY AND RESEARCH INTERN (RECRUITS ATTACHMENT & INTERNSHIP)
Banking Instituation · Upper Hill, Nairobi
Closes 1 Nov 2026 Full-time 4 positions
Equity Group Holdings is offering an internship within its Group Strategy & Research function at its Upper Hill headquarters, for graduates interested in corporate strategy and financial-sector research. The intern will support the compilation of market and competitor-analysis briefs, assist with gathering data for strategic-planning documents, and help prepare summaries of industry trends affecting banking and financial services across the group's East African markets. Additional responsibilities include supporting research for board and management presentations, assisting with basic financial-model data entry, and observing strategy-review meetings where appropriate. This attachment provides rare exposure to how a leading, regionally diversified banking group sets strategic direction, evaluates growth opportunities and monitors competitive positioning across multiple countries. It is well suited to graduates in business administration, economics, finance or strategy-related fields who wish to build a foundation in corporate strategy within financial services. Interns will work closely with strategy analysts, receive orientation on the group's strategic priorities, and are required to maintain strict confidentiality given the sensitive nature of strategic and competitive information handled. On completion, interns receive a formal certificate of attachment recognising the research and analytical competencies gained during the placement.
