PROCESS ENGINEERING AND PLANT OPERATIONS INTERN (RECRUITS ATTACHMENT & INTERNSHIP)
Non governmental · Mombasa Rd, Nairobi office (Plant: Mombasa/Athi River)
Closes 1 Nov 2026 Internship 4 positions
Bamburi Cement PLC is offering an industrial attachment within its Process Engineering and Plant Operations function, coordinated through its Nairobi offices along Mombasa Road, for engineering students seeking heavy-industry exposure. The attaché will support monitoring of production-process parameters under supervision, assist with compiling equipment-performance and maintenance logs, and help document adherence to environmental and safety compliance procedures within cement-manufacturing operations. Additional duties include supporting data entry into plant-performance tracking systems, assisting with basic quality-testing documentation for clinker and cement output, and observing routine safety inspections conducted across production areas. This attachment offers rare exposure to large-scale, capital-intensive industrial manufacturing, including kiln operations, quarry management and quality control, within one of East Africa's largest, NSE-listed cement producers. It is well suited to students pursuing mechanical, chemical, industrial or process engineering who wish to gain practical heavy-industry experience. Attachés are required to strictly comply with all occupational health and safety requirements given the high-risk industrial environment, including mandatory use of protective equipment. On successful completion, attachés receive a formal certificate of attachment recognising the process-engineering competencies gained during the placement at Bamburi Cement.
