The Registrar / Academic Affairs Assistant attachment sits within the Registrar's Office / Academic Affairs Department, where the attachee will support student registration and records management, assist with examination logistics, and help maintain academic records, working alongside experienced staff and gaining hands-on, supervised exposure to how the organization runs on a day-to-day basis. Additional details: Egerton University views the Registrar / Academic Affairs Assistant position as an opportunity for a student attachee to gain structured, real-world exposure within the Registrar's Office / Academic Affairs Department. Over the course of the placement, the attachee will be guided by experienced staff and will support student registration and records management, assist with examination logistics, and help maintain academic records. The organization expects the attachee to observe workplace professionalism, punctuality, confidentiality and a willingness to learn, and in turn commits to providing supervision, an orientation to relevant systems and procedures, and constructive feedback throughout the attachment period. Attachees who perform well may be considered for short-term casual assignments, be given a strong reference letter for future employment, and, in select cases, be considered ahead of external applicants should a suitable entry-level vacancy arise within the department after the attachment period.
