The attaché will support administrative coordination between the Nairobi office and Mombasa port operations, assist with compiling cargo-movement and container-throughput reports, and help organise correspondence related to inland container depot activities. The role also involves basic data entry into logistics tracking systems, assisting with filing of shipping documentation, and observing coordination meetings between KPA and clearing and forwarding agencies operating in Nairobi. This attachment is well suited to students pursuing logistics, supply chain management, maritime studies, transport economics or business administration who wish to understand how Kenya's gateway port system connects to inland trade corridors. Attachés will work under the guidance of experienced logistics officers, receive orientation on port operations and regional trade facilitation, and be expected to maintain confidentiality regarding cargo and client information. On successful completion of the programme, attachés are issued an official completion certificate from Kenya Ports Authority recognising the duration and scope of exposure gained during the placement, useful for future logistics-sector employment applications.
